Social demands surrounding cars include "Safety & Security," "Ecology & Efficiency," and "Comfort & Convenience." "Safety & Security" realizes a safe road traffic society and aims at a society where every citizen including car user can live securely with automotives. "Ecology & Efficiency" aims at improved economical efficiency such as environmental consideration, for example, CO2 reduction, easing traffic congestion, enhanced fuel consumption, energy saving drive, and so on.
And standing on these needs, "Comfort & Convenience" should be pursued for car users and whole society. "Automotive"
We will provide the information services and solutions cooperating with "Automotive" such as Vehicle Relation Management (VRM) service/solution which informs a driver and/or car owner of accurate status of the vehicle by cooperating with various in-vehicle control units which are highly integrated with advanced car electronics.
"Service"
We provide the various business use system solutions; such as system solution for logistics/fleet management by using useful car information unit, heavy duty type car navigation system with improved durability for job oriented usage, telematics service/solution which provides appropriate support in cooperation with the call center operator, such as emergency call when car accident occurred, vehicle malfunction detection, and so on. We also support various "Services" which realizes efficiency, convenience, and safety.
"Social Infrastructure"
We provide solutions in combination with "Social Infrastructure", such as high accurate and efficient traffic information service and solution for faster and comfortable route guidance with avoiding congestion.

"Car Information System (CIS) solution" is realized by combining "IT Service & Solution," which systematically combine automotive, service, and social infrastructure, and "Car Information Units." In Hitachi group, we takes charge of "Whole CIS system" and "IT Service & Solution," and Clarion takes charge of "Car Information Units." We will provide the system solutions , which meet the demands of various business applications by exploiting each characteristics and cooperating with each other.
