At the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017, under the theme of “Moving forward! To a future where people, cars, and society are linked.” the Hitachi Group introduced our automotive technologies for the realization of safer and more comfortable autonomous driving systems.

A demonstration car and virtual rendering footage will introduce our electrification technology which is expanding in accordance with Zero Emission Vehicles regulation, and autonomous driving systems which are achieved through the coordination with 360-degree sensing technology and safety control technology, as well as Maxell’s Heads-up Display.
We will showcase our next-generation, high-efficiency gasoline engine system to demonstrate our combustion, thermal, and energy control systems that enable improvements in fuel economy.
An 8-seat VR simulator will move in synchrony with impressive 360-degree 3D scenography. Wearing a headset, you can experience the future driving scene.
This ride is for elementary school students and older.
Elementary school students will watch non- stereoscopic (2-dimentional) footage.
An actual Hitachi-sponsored Japanese Championship Super Formula racing car will be displayed, with an exterior designed by Hitachi for this event. Attendees can also experience another display of a driver’s seat (cockpit) and see exciting circuit drive footage from a Super Formula race!
